Position Description:

The Marketing Operations Specialist is a highly collaborative analytical and strategic thinker able to develop and implement creative solutions to operational challenges. The Marketing Operations Specialists works to deliver key insights and recommendations that optimize the performance of marketing programs/campaigns, and assists the marketing department as a whole in the achievement of its goals to optimize funnel conversion rates and velocity.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build infrastructure and oversee governance of the Marketo instance including campaigns, programs, drip & nurture programs and customer communications.
  • Optimize lead scoring and distribution methodology to ensure quality leads are passed to sales development for qualification and for increasing efficiencies and conversion rates.
  • Assist in building and running pipeline generating campaigns (email nurtures, events, webinars, etc.); execute, measure, and optimize multi-channel campaigns that drive the growth of the business.
  • Track and report on ROI of marketing activities to ensure effectiveness and continued investment.
  • Ensure accurate synchronization between Marketo and Salesforce.com databases.
  • Ensure processes and best practices are in place to maintain the integrity of the Marketo data.
  • Ensure proper set-up of demand generation campaigns to allow for accurate digital and web tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in the development of reports using data from Marketo, Salesforce, and other systems to better understand the effectiveness of our marketing programs.
  • Troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues and other key marketing operations functions
  • Help develop, document & evangelize best practices.
  • Leverage Salesforce.com and Marketo for lead campaign & program tracking and analysis
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for marketing effectiveness
  • Optimize existing campaigns and identify new opportunities for scalable, top-of-funnel and middle-of-the funnel campaigns.
  • Own testing for emails and landing pages including form fields and experiences to drive lead capture and qualification. Via Marketo Forums and documentation, regularly identify and implement process improvements.

 

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-4+ years of progressive career experience and hands-on execution in marketing automation / operations / analytics
  • Advanced user of Marketo and Salesforce
  • Understanding of B2B marketing and an ability to translate business goals into operational requirements; understanding of data flow between CRM and marketing automation and analytics systems
  • Deep understanding of marketing automation strategies and testing methodologies
  • Proven success building B2B marketing funnels, scaling profitable demand, optimizing lead handoff processes, and exceeding ROI targets
  • High attention to detail, well organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and quantitative skills; ability to analyze campaign and pipeline metrics and effectiveness and optimize to improve performance.
  • Ability to take a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, while still being innovative and creative
